Terms of Service

These Terms are a contract between you and Grant Point Designs (“we,” “us”) for the Skeins app on iOS and Android. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Skeins for your own needlepoint projects, subject to these Terms and the terms of the app store you installed from.

Subscriptions and billing

• Skeins is a paid subscription. New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial.
• Your subscription is billed through the app store you installed from — the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription any time in your store account:
  • iPhone / iPad: Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
  • Android: Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
• If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current billing period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by the app store under its own policies.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Don’t share your account or use someone else’s.

Acceptable use

Use Skeins only for lawful purposes. Don’t attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the service or its providers.

Estimates are guidance, not guarantees

Skeins estimates thread quantities and matches colors from your photos and inputs. These are helpful estimates, not guarantees — actual thread needs vary with your tension, stitch, canvas, and materials. Please use your own judgment before purchasing.

Local shop checkout

When you send a thread list to a connected needlepoint shop, checkout happens on that shop’s own store. We are not the seller and are not responsible for a shop’s products, prices, availability, or fulfillment.

Intellectual property

The app, its content, and the stitch and thread data are owned by Grant Point Designs or its licensors. Your saved work and photos remain yours.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings › Account in the app, which removes your account and synced data from our systems. (Canceling your subscription is done separately in your app store, as described above.) You can also email help@grantpointdesigns.com.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We’ll update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the changes.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
