Free Needlepoint Coaster Chart — The Quilted Square Set

A Free Coaster Set to Stitch — Our Quilted Square Chart

There's a reason the nine-patch gingham has never gone out of style. It's tidy, it's cheerful, and it looks just as at home on a summer porch as it does beside a winter fire. We turned that classic quilt block into a set of four needlepoint coasters — and we're giving the chart away, free.

What's in the set
Four colorways of the Quilted Square design. Each is charted for 10-mesh canvas and finishes at a true 4″ × 4″ — the perfect coaster.

Why a coaster set is the project to reach for
A coaster is small enough to finish in a weekend and satisfying enough that you'll want to make all four. Stitch them as a matched set for your own table, or make them up as hostess gifts — a stack of four tied with ribbon is one of the loveliest things you can give a fellow stitcher.

The perfect place to play
Because coasters are small and forgiving, they're the ideal spot to try a stitch you've been curious about. Work the solid squares in a decorative stitch — Scotch, Mosaic, or something else entirely — and let each coaster in the set be a little experiment. There's a lot of room to play.

The download includes the counted chart for all four colorways plus a painted-canvas view to use as your color guide, so you can start stitching right away.
